    Plaquenil for cfs

Jenny I have been on plaquenil for a pre-existing conditon- for the last 15 years. Got sick with ME/CFS since Nov 2008 If I was to stop plaquenil today, I believe I would much worse than what I am right now- They also use plaquenil in cases of lyme disease. So, a little background I'm 34/F with mixed connective tissue disease, fibromyalgia, and a neurologicalmotpr disorder. MCTD is not quite the same as Lupus, but there's a huge symptom overlap. I often just tell people I have Lupus instead of trying to explain what MCTD is because I'm tired. Aren't you tired? I'm tired. I'm fucking exhausted. There is no cure or approved treatment for myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome ME/CFS. However, some symptoms can be treated or managed. Treating these symptoms might provide relief for some patients with ME/CFS but not others. Other strategies, like learning new ways to manage activity, can also be helpful.

The symptoms of CFS may vary from person to person but can include: If you have persistent or excessive fatigue, see your doctor. CFS may also be called systemic exertion intolerance disease (SEID) or myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME). Experts are not sure why some people get CFS and others don’t but suggest some people have a genetic predisposition to the disorder which is possibly triggered by a viral infection (such as the Epstein-Barr virus, human herpesvirus 6), immune system problem, extreme stress, hormonal imbalance, or another event; however, no conclusive link has ever been found.
