Eye things behind eye from tsking plaquenil

I haven't had an eye test prior to starting these meds and there has been no mention of one in the future. After the first week I did get some side effects of sore eyes so I stopped taking it. I was diagnosed with RA two years ago and started on MTX.

I hope this doesn't mean I'm starting to have visions issues with the Plaquenil. I have to call my eye dr today. I also thought I saw a shadow out of the corner of my right eye and there wasn't anything there. Is there anything else that's mild-er like Plaquenil that you can take if you have to be taken off this stuff? In some cases, Plaquenil can cause visual changes or loss of vision. It is thought that the drug binds to melanin pigmented cells in the retinal pigment epithelium a pigmented layer of cells behind the retina and also damages a layer of cells in the retina called photoreceptors.
